In a statement released this evening by her husband, James, Mr. Bridgeman said the family of Amy Wells Bridgeman, “Would like her to know that they love and miss her very much. They would like to see her and know that she is OK.”
Mr. Bridgeman said in the statement the family differs with law enforcement, which has stated they suspect no foul play in her disappearance. The statement did not elaborate.
Mrs. Bridgeman was last seen near the vicinity of what was Coastal Lumber in the Weldon area around 6:30 a.m. June 24.
The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said last week thus far there has been no local information provided about any out of town location she may have traveled to.
Bridgeman was reported missing June 29.
The last time her family heard from her was June 28 around 6:55 a.m. It is known that she went out with friends and her husband received a text message from her.
Bridgeman, 42, has blue eyes and shoulder length hair that she often changes from black to brown.
She has fair skin and was last seen wearing a white shirt with four black stripes and Capri pants.
She takes medication dailyand her family is concerned whether she has a supply with her. Bridgeman lives in what Somogyi described earlier this month as the Roanoke Rapids-Weldon area because she has frequently moved between the two locations and could be in those locations.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Somogyi at 252-583-8201, 252-583-1991 or Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
