Chief Deputy Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched to the area of Hollow Drive around 9:45 p.m. after receiving a report a victim was stabbed with a knife.
Deputy Jake Pignanello and Corporal Derrick Moore learned Brandy Griffin, 32, was the alleged suspect. The victim was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to an undisclosed medical facility to receive further treatment.
Griffin was arrested on scene and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. She received a $25,000 bond pending a July 18 court date.
Hall said this morning motive was unclear.
