Ervin 'Lee' Pettway

Ervin “Lee” Pettway, 61, passed away at his home in Littleton on July 3, 2018.

Lee was a carpenter, and was well loved by all who knew him.

His greatest passion in life was working with wood.

There are many people who have seen this in their own homes.

His biggest regret before he passed was not being able to completely finish his own home.  He was always ready to help others first.

Lee was preceded in death by both parents, Ervin Jefferson Pettway and Mildred Little Pettway.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Suggs Pettway; four sons, Kevin Pettway, Damion Pettway, Joshua Taylor and Jeremy Taylor; three daughters-in-law; six grandchildren; and his two loving dogs, Izzy and Ozzy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lee’s honor in the hope of finding friends who can keep his dream of finishing his home come true.

Lee’s “special nephew” Chris Horne, has been by his side working with him.  He is an amazing woodworker himself, but he can’t make the dream come true alone.

The service to celebrate Lee Pettway’s life will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, July 12, 2018, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 6:30 pm Thursday, prior to the service.

Online condolences may be made to hockadayfs.com

Arrangements are under the care of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
