The Halifax County Sheriff's Office is seeking leads in a case in which an entire lottery case, multiple packs of cigarettes and perfume was stolen.

Detective Obert Wiltsie said the items were stolen following a September 17 breaking and entering at a store in Hobgood, which is located on the left of Highway 125 just before leaving town.

As indicated in surveillance photos, the man concealed his face with what may be a hockey mask and used a baseball bat to gain entry.

Wiltsie is hopeful someone in the community or area may be able to identify the jacket he was wearing.

Wiltsie estimated the value of the stolen lottery tickets to be around $500.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 or the sheriff's office at 252-583-8201.
