The Halifax County Sheriff's Office continues to target the Alsop Street area of Enfield, today making two arrests for marijuana and cocaine sales.

Both of the men arrested today were charged in an April shooting that occurred on Alsop Street.

Counting today, there have been three incidents stemming from drug activity at 103 West Alsop this month. There have been four incidences on Alsop Street altogether this month counting the arrest of a father and son at a different location on the street, Lieutenant Anzell Harris of the sheriff's office confirmed.

It was also the second time in a month that Theodore Willie Bell Hendricks, the man charged in April with harboring a fugitive in the April, has been arrested on drug charges.

Harris described Hendricks as an alleged street level dealer with a tight network.

The two arrests occurred just after 1:45 this afternoon when narcotics agents executed a search warrant at Hendricks's residence following an investigation by Narcotics Agent D.C. Dickens.

Dickens has been investigating the residence for several weeks. Through citizen complaints, agent information and Dickens's own investigation, District Court Judge W. Turner Stephenson III granted a search warrant for 103 West Alsop Street.

The search warrant, which was served with assistance by the Hazardous Entry and Arrest Team, the Enfield Police Department and the state Highway Patrol, resulted in the seizure of marijuana, crack cocaine, a handgun and paraphernalia.

The evidence seized.

Dickens seized nine individually wrapped bags of marijuana weighing approximately 11 grams, 14 grams of crack and paraphernalia consisting of boxes of plastic bags, a digital scale, spoon with cocaine residue, a box of baking soda and Mason jars.

Dickens arrested and charged Hendricks, 56, with felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hendricks received a $10,000 secured bond and a December 4 court date.

Cooper was also charged in the April shooting.

Dickens charged Raheem Deron Cooper, 19, with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felony possession of cocaine. He received a $5,000 bond and the same court date as Hendricks.

“This search warrant was successful through teamwork,” Harris said. “The sheriff’s office and the other departments involved are working together to make an impact in the Enfield community.”
