Three arrested in Highway 125 B&Es

Reports of numerous break-ins in the Highway 125 area south of Halifax have resulted in three arrests, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.

Detective O.L. Wiltsie said in a statement the crimes occurred within the past year.

Through investigations conducted by Wiltsie, deputies P. Moyer and J. Langley warrants were obtained on three Halifax men Derrick Streeter, 18; Kelvin Solomon, 21; and Isaiah Elder, 17.

Streeter was arrested without incident Sunday in an unrelated matter without incident.

He was charged with three counts of breaking and entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and entering, three counts of possession of stolen goods, two counts of conspiring to commit breaking and entering, one count of attempted breaking and entering and one count of injury to property.

Solomon was arrested this morning without incident and was charged with four counts of breaking and entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and entering, three counts possession of stolen goods, two counts of conspiring to commit breaking and entering and two counts of injury to property. Elder was arrested Wednesday without incident and was charged with two counts of conspiring to commit breaking and entering, two counts of breaking and entering and one count of larceny after breaking and entering.

All arrested have February 26 court dates.

Streeter received a $50,000 bond; Solomon a $60,000 bond and Elder a $5,000 bond.

Investigation into other breaking and entering cases are still being conducted and further charges may be pending.
