Qualls, Whichard, Pierce file for commissioners race

There are now five candidates running for three at-large Halifax County Board of Commissioner seats.

Patrick Qualls, a former member of the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District Board of Education, filed today as a Democratic challenger while current board Chair James Pierce also filed today.

A Republican challenger, John Randolph Whichard of Roanoke Rapids, also filed for the commissioners race.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, Claude T. Cooper Jr. of Enfield, filed to run as a challenger in the Halifax County Schools Board of Education race.
