The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office filed a felony warrant against a Halifax resident involving reported negligence of an elderly person.

Noah Junior Fenner, 54, was charged with one count of exploitation of a disabled or elderly person, according to a statement by Detective Chris Scott.

The charges against Fenner are based on 2013 matters where utility bills were not paid that resulted in the negligence of an elderly victim.

Fenner was taken into custody Monday and placed under a $1,000 bond.

He awaits an April 2 court date.
