Major Scott Hall said in a statement the sheriffs office has followed up on several leads regarding his location.
The juvenile, Austin Michael Etters, left home after an argument with his mother Friday evening and the only communication with him has been through a family member out of state.
It is believed that the juvenile is still in the area and is refusing to return home.
He left his residence on Smith Church Road at approximately 5 p.m., and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
