Local PBA chapter announces endorsements

The Roanoke Valley Chapter of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association recently held a political screening for those candidates running for various offices in the upcoming election.

“During the screening process Vernon Bryant, Rebecca Spragins and Valerie Asbell demonstrated why their experiences and values make them uniquely qualified to represent the voters of Roanoke Valley area,” the chapter said in a statement. “They also demonstrated that they are committed to making strong effective law enforcement a priority in their campaigns.That is why the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the NCPBA is proud to announce their support by endorsing Vernon Bryant for Board of Commissioners At-Large, Rebecca Spragins for Clerk of Superior Court and Valerie Asbell for District Attorney for District 6 in the upcoming election on May 6, 2014.”

Senior Vice President of the Roanoke Valley Chapter Bob Lufkin said, "These candidates have an understanding of issues important to our membership and a willingness to be a working partner in our efforts to improve and promote the local law enforcement profession. Vernon Bryant, Rebecca Spragins and Valerie Asbell have earned our support.”

 

Said Lufkin: “The Roanoke Valley Chapter of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association asks the citizens of Roanoke Valley area to vote for Vernon Bryant, Rebecca Spragins and Valerie Asbell in the upcoming election on May 6th."
