Lieutenant Anzell Harris of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said narcotics agents have been looking at Nate Walker for about two months, based on complaints and a Crimestoppers tip about activity at his residence.
Today around 3 p.m., deputies executed a search warrant that Harris applied for.
During the search of the residence approximately 6 grams of powdered cocaine valued around $300 as well as marijuana was seized. Officers additionally seized several items of paraphernalia including a grinder, razor, baggies and a digital scale.
Harris credited Corporal M. Brown and his dog Mallie as an instrumental part of the search warrant execution.
Walker, who was already on probation for a June 5 conviction of carrying a concealed weapon, was charged with felony possession of cocaine, possess drug paraphernalia, possess marijuana up to one-half ounce and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance.
He was released on $5,000 secured bond as his bail bondsman was at the magistrate’s office.
Walker has also been convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia in 2002 in Halifax County.
