Wilson Green was walking with Garner and Calvin Robinson the night the teen was murdered
Green, 19, of Weldon, was already in jail on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, going armed to the terror of the people in an August 28 matter in the South Weldon area, according to a statement by Captain Anzell Harris of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Harris said that matter reportedly involved Green threatening people. He reportedly ran from agents D.C. Dickens and D.R. Radford, but was caught.
He was held without the opportunity for bond on those charges and assigned a November 5 court date. Harris said this evening investigators don't believe the August 28 matter was related to the murder.
Further investigation led Dickens to obtain a warrant on Green today for possession of a stolen firearm. Follow-up on the .40-caliber handgun lead to the owner being located in the Littleton community. Green was taken before the magistrate where he was given a $248,000 secured bond with an October 1 court date.
