To the Voters of Halifax County,

I am officially endorsing Wes Tripp for Sheriff of Halifax County. He has over 30 years of law enforcement experience, beginning as a jailer and working his way up through the ranks.

Wes Tripp worked for Sheriff Bill Bailey, Sheriff M.L. Stallings, and Sheriff Jeff P. Frazier, and was promoted by all three.

He was appointed as Acting Sheriff by the Halifax County Commissioners after Sheriff Jeff Frazier retired. He has worked well with Roanoke Rapids, Weldon, all the surrounding communities, as well as the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

(A jpeg file of the NRA endorsement is included as an attachment at the end of the letter)

I have every confidence in the outstanding work he has done and will continue to do for Halifax County.

Please vote Sheriff Wes Tripp on November 4, 2014.

Sincerely,

Quinton Q. Qualls, Sr.

Halifax County Commissioner 1986-1998
