Klausner Lumber in Enfield is hiring and the state Division of Employment Security is helping to facilitate that process.

Taylor Hawkins III, Division of Workforce Solutions manager at the Roanoke Rapids office, said the company's immediate need is for experienced millwrights.

While the division is waiting on the job order with specific information, the company wants to interview at the DES office, which is located at Becker Village Mall next Wednesday.

Other openings are for metal workers, a metalworking manager, car mechanic electrician and electrical department manager.

All interested applicants can apply at the employment office, 1620 East 10th Street, Suite 101, Becker Village Mall.

The company will be looking for general plant workers in the future but is not accepting those applications at this time.

The state and county announced plans for Klausner in 2012.

The company plans to create 350 jobs and invest $110 million.

The project was made possible in part by state grants from the Job Development Investment Grant and the One North Carolina Fund.

The company produces custom-sized rough and planed lumber products that are used in the construction, pressure treating, secondary processing, furniture and packaging industries.
