Skatepark slated for spring opening

A grand opening for the Roanoke Rapids skate park under construction at T.J. Davis is slated for the spring, Parks and Recreation Director John Simeon said today.

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating a Sunday morning break-in where an estimated $32,000 in equipment was taken from storage buildings at T.J. Davis Recreation Center.
