Multiple agencies continue Glenview murder probe

As investigation continues into the shooting deaths of four people in the Glenview community last month, Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp said numerous agencies, both federal, state and local, are working with his investigators.

The Roanoke Rapids Police Department is investigating three cases in which it needs the public’s help.

The state Highway Patrol will lodge a second-degree murder charge against a Hollister man allegedly responsible for the death of a 17-year-old girl in a three-car collision Saturday.

Efird honored for rescuing nurse

North Carolina State Highway Patrol Trooper Dustin Efird was honored today by Halifax County commissioners for actions in July which helped rescue a nurse who languished in her bath tub for three nights after taking a fall.

A 17-year-old girl involved in a crash in the Hollister area died Sunday morning.
