HALIFAX COUNTY PLANNING BOARD PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING

Date, Time and Place of Meeting

Pursuant to G.S. 143-318.12(b)(2) public notice is hereby given that the Halifax County Planning Board will meet on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room on the second floor of Historic Halifax County Courthouse, 10 North King Street, Halifax, NC.

Purpose of Meeting

Pursuant to G.S. 160D-604(c), the Planning Board will review and comment on proposed development regulations for the following requests:

Deviation Request #2026-01 from James Marvin Shearin requesting a deviation from subdivision regulations Section 405 - Subdivision Road Standards. The applicant is requesting to subdivide property along Dennis Dr, while utilizing the existing right-of-way serving the residential development on tax parcel #07-02673 in the Littleton Township.

Shearwater Shores - Phase 2 is requesting the Preliminary Plat approval of the ten (10) lots, consisting of 4.85± acres of land. The subdivision will be located at the intersection of Henry Jr. Rd & Dennis Dr on tax parcel #07-02673 in the Littleton Township.
