Chaloner Middle School girls and boys basketball teams are conference champions of the Roanoke Middle School Athletic Association

Bracey Irby, led scoring with 10 for the boys CMS Jackets in their win tonight over Gaston Middle School 38-21.          Coach McClafferty started 5 Eighth graders that had never started a game (Spenser, Josh, Bracy, Armotti, & Jordan) & played them the most. Josh Elias followed Irby with 5 points.  Leading scorers for the Hurricanes were Rakel Holt and Jaquen Miles, both with 6 points. 

In girl's play, the CMS Lady Jackets also preserved a winning season with a 52-8 win over Gaston.  Leading scorers for CMS were Haley Farrow with 12, followed by Erica Whitmyer with 8.  Keshonna Gay scored all 8 points for the Lady Hurricanes.
