Halifax girls win and advance to second round State playoffs

#7 seed Halifax Academy Varsity girls beat  #10 Harrell's Christion Academy 61-57 tonight in the first round of the 2013 NCISAA state playoffs. Leading scores for Halifas were Kelly Williams with 24 points and Haley Wood with 20 points and Anna Glover 12. 

Free throws were the key to seal the win with 27 out of 33 made by Halifax. Williams was 10 for 15, Wood was 8 for 8 and Glover was 6 for 6. 

#7 seed Halifax (25-4) plays Thursday on the road at 1 p.m. against #2 seed Ashville Christian Academy.(17-5)
