A Roanoke Rapids and a Halifax Academy players on same team

Roanoke Rapids Varsity softball Freshman Hunter Martin guest played with Halifax Academy's Varsity softball Seventh Grader Drew Rose this past weekend with the Lady Stars 99 U-14 travel softball team. The Lady Stars 99 are based out of Nashville NC and traveled to Washington NC this past Saturday for a one day tournament called "The USSSA Swing into Spring Tournament."

Rose played third base while Martin played outfield and pitcher. The team went undeafeated for the day with a 5-0 record and won the tournament. Martin was the winning pitcher for three of the games and also hit a three run out of the park home run.
