The Roanoke Rapids JV softball team defeated North Johnston, 9-1, today in a home game.
Kailey Copeland, Taylor Connell, Hope Vincent and Emily Moore each had singles and Hunter Martin had two hits, including a double, as did Princess Moody.
Martin was the winning pitcher, going the whole game. She gave up two hits, no walks and struck out numerous batters.
