The RVGSL U18 girls were in action Monday night at Newsome field.
All other age groups are finished and prepairing for the District 1 Babe Ruth softball tournament hosted by Roanoke Rapids at the end of this month. No score was reported of Saturday or Monday's game.
Seemed fitting that Coach Mike Newsome made it to the field to watch the girls play the game he loves.
