The Roanoke Valley U10 girl softball all-stars played for Coach Ewers this past weekend. Head coach Bill Ewers lost his 38 year old brother from South Carolina before the tournament. The girls played hard and gave it their evrything with a 4-2 record and took the team to the Championship game before coach and his daughter Carrigan Ewers along with his family had to head to SC Sunday morning.

The girls never gave up in the championship game against Cashie, even in the fifth inning when it looked to be over. The girls made some hits and atleast made it go to another inning, but lost 18-8.

At the plate Taylor Floyd and Kelsey Bierbauer each had a single, Hannah Brown had two singles and the big bat of the game Elizabeth Colston with a single and a triple.

The U10 also got an invite to the ENC Babe Ruth State tournament in Washington starting July 8th, but did not have enough girls able to make the trip therefor had to decline the invite.
