Roanoke Rapids High School Senior, Chloe Wilson, signed today to become one of the next members of the East Carolina University Women’s Soccer Team.
Chloe is the daughter of Travis and Kay Wilson. She has played for the 97 PGSA Stars Premier Level club team since 2011. She is also a captain for the Roanoke Rapids High School Women’s Soccer Team.
“I am excited to continue improving and having the opportunity to play Division 1 soccer,” Chloe stated.
RRHS soccer head coach Craig Jean commented, “It has been a pleasure to coach Chloe for the past 3 years. We are so proud of her accomplishment to go to a Division 1 program. I am super thrilled to get one more season to coach her before her time at ECU begins. She loves the game of soccer and you can see it in her everyday life. She has definitely earned this. Her parents have raised a wonderful young lady both on and off the field. She is a great role model for every young female athlete, no matter what sport. I have followed ECU’s Women’s soccer program for several years and I think it is going to be a wonderful fit for her and she will be a great addition to their program. It’s also great that she will be close enough that she can have Roanoke Rapids support to come watch her play.”
Chloe will be playing for the Pirates under head coach Rob Donnenwirth and will be wearing jersey #17.
