RRspin.com Sports, TD Sports & the Roanoke Rapids High school Lady Jackets softball team are hosting the 2nd Annual Roanoke Rapids Lady Jackets alumni slow pitch softball game this Saturday June 18th.

Player introduction is set to kick off around 7 PM at the Roanoke Rapids High school softball field. Twenty former Jackets have signed up to play this year. Retired long time coach Carlen Goodwin will be returning to coach one group of ladies, while coach Lynn Little will handle duties for the other team.

There will be concessions with drinks and popcorn.

There will be raffle tickets sold for $2 each or 7 tickets for $10 with a list of prizes from shirt and Hat combos, 2016-17 Jackets discount cards, Free oil change curtsey of Discount Tire of Roanoke Rapids, a 2016-16 All RRHS regular season Sports Pass (Value $100) and Grand prize a Blu-ray Surround base curtsey of Today's Electronics in Honor of the Late Coach Mike Newsome (value $200).

After four innings of play there will be an intermission where there will be a Whiffle ball contest for $1 to enter for the kids 12 and under with every kid receiving a gift with top two furthest hit taking home a gift bag sponsored by Mr. Lynn Little and Mr. Pattie Little.

For the adults there will be a Fast pitch pitching machine hitting contest for the adults, Hit three balls for $5. Furthest hit wins a  2016-16 All RRHS regular season Sports Pass (Value $100), second place a $50 Gift Certificate to Water View Restaurant on Lake Gaston and third place a 2016-17 Jackets discount card.

Admission is $5 for adults and kids 12 and under Free. Come out and watch some Lady Jackets Alumni softball players hit the field again and join the fellowship with everyone.

Any former Jackets softball Alumni who has not signed up and would like to still play, just see us at the field Saturday night.
