Rising Roanoke Rapids High school Lady Yellow Jacket senior Breanna Allen has solid showing this weekend in the PGF travel softball showcase tournament in Virginia Beach.

The Lady Lightning Select U18 travel team based out of Clinton NC finished 4-0-1 over the weekend.

On day one the Lady Lightning Select went 2-0 on the day. Breanna Allen pitched for the 5 inning complete game winning 4-1 against a good Queens New York team. 8 K's and 1 earned run.

Haley Grizzle pitched a great game with a 3-1 win while Breanna Allen played a very solid 1st base against a great team from Maryland.

Allen hat one over the fence homerun with missing another one by inches. Allen had a .444 batting avg. for the weekend, played a solid first base and pitched well also.

Allen and the Lady Lightning are playing in Myrtle Beach in a two weeks.
