Both the Weldon Chargers and Northampton County Jaguars advance in the third Round of the 2017-18 NCHSAA Women's Basketball Championship Saturday.

#3 seed Northampton County (21-3) beat #6 seed East Carteret (13-11) 49-44.

#10 seed Weldon (21-2) will host #18 seed John A. Holmes (11-12) 53-24.

With both teams advancing to the Elite Eight, they will face off Tuesday night February 27th in Gaston.

1A #3 seed Northampton County (21-3) will host #10 seed Weldon (21-2). Both Weldon losses this season has come to Northampton County Jaguars.
