The Roanoke Rapids High School Varsity Yellow Jackets Baseball team traveled to Hertford County on Wednesday afternoon and came away with a 15-4 victory.
Ethan Vincent, Carson Neal, Bennett Liverman, Brandon Collier, and Cameron Medlin all pitched for RRHS with Bennett Liverman picking up the win.
The Yellow Jackets had hits from Colin Long, Carson Neal, Aaron Jackson, Cameron Medlin, Cameron Salmon, Dillon Jenkins, Peyton Jackson, Caleb Johnson, Ethan Vincent, and Bennett Liverman.
Coach Snead stated, "We did a good job of adjusting at the plate during the game. We got more selective and worked the count. This led to better at bats and more hits and runs as the game went on. I am pleased with our pitchers as well. We threw multiple guys to get them ready for the next two days versus Louisburg. I am proud of the way we played. Now we have to step it up with these back to back conference games."
With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 3-1 overall on the season. RRHS finishes the week with a trip to Louisburg on today (Thursday) and then hosting Louisburg on Friday. Game time is 6pm on both nights.
