The Roanoke Rapids High School Varsity Yellow Jackets Baseball team lost at home to Bertie by a score 3-2 on Monday night.  

Ethan Vincent and Carson Neal both pitched for the Yellow Jackets with Neal taking the loss.

Collecting hits for RRHS were Carson Neal, Aaron Jackson, Caleb Johnson, Cameron Salmon, and Ethan Vincent.

Post game Jackets Coach Mark Snead stated, "This was a tough loss.  Our guys played their hearts out, but came up a little short.  But this is the type of game that will help us in our playoff quest this season.  This was a good game versus a quality opponent with a good crowd.  There is a lot we learned from this game.  We will use this to get better."

With the loss the Yellow Jackets drop to 4-3 on the season.
