"Community colleges play a transformative role in expanding opportunity, and I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the country to advance strategies that use data to improve student outcomes while effectively telling the stories of the impact our institutions have on students, families, and communities."

The college said Dr. Brown's appointment further strengthens Halifax Community College's presence in national higher education leadership, reinforcing the College's commitment to innovation, excellence, and student-centered success.
