Halifax Community College Thursday welcomed nine Roanoke Rapids High School students and district staff to tour its range of advanced manufacturing and allied health offerings.
The Gregory B. Davis Foundation promoted the Summer STEM Immersion Experience, a campus visit to show the students local education options for the pursuit of science, engineering, technical and math-based careers.
Education is a key factor in the foundation’s mission and it supports educational opportunities that kick-start student success, per its website.
The students visited HCC’s newest building, the Advanced Manufacturing & Corporate Training Center.
