This Friday, PETA representatives will be joined by writer Shelia P. Moses and members of the Northampton Memorial Library to commemorate the opening of PETA’s fourth Little Free Library in the county with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The city will participate in Two Lights for Tomorrow — an initiative that is part of the America 250 celebration — by leaving two lights on in the front of city hall Friday evening.
Brightspeed, which will contribute $15,000, has come onboard as a sponsor of the Emry Park Skatepark project following approval by Roanoke Rapids City Council Tuesday night.
