State Representative Rodney Pierce Thursday recognized the Northeast Academy Eagles golf team with a presentation of resolutions for winning the 2025 NC Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A state championship.

The team was undefeated in Tarheel Independent Conference play and coach Ellen Ordnung was named conference coach of the year.
