Weldon in Action is holding a Meet the Candidates Forum ahead of the November 5 municipal elections. 

The event will be held Wednesday, September 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in building 400 — room 401 A — at Halifax Community College.

The free community event will provide voters with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates, ask questions, and engage in an open dialogue about the town’s future.

Following the moderated forum, attendees are invited to meet and greet the candidates and stay for refreshments.

All candidates for mayor and town commissioner have accepted the invitation to participate.

The forum will be moderated by Vernon Bryant, chair of the Halifax County Board of Commissioners.
