Two Enfield teens are wanted in a shooting which occurred Thursday near the intersection of East Burnette Avenue and Llewellyn Street.

Enfield police Captain Chuck Hasty said the shooting victim, who was shot in the lower body, has been treated and is recovering.

The two teens wanted — Annazee Lequandre Hawkins, 19, and  Mysahn Khareg Lanyjhertoi Pittman, 18, are encouraged to surrender and answer to the warrants filed against them, Hasty said in a statement.

Hawkins is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon, going armed to the terror of the people and conspiracy.

Pittman is wanted for going armed to the terror of the people, aid and abet assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.

Hasty said motive is undetermined and still being investigated.

Details in the case unfolded after the police department responded to the 100 block of East Burnette Avenue about a shooting.

Officers spoke with several people in the area who claimed they did not see or hear anything.  As officers continued their investigation they determined the shooting took place near the intersection of East Burnette Avenue and Llewellyn Street.

Halifax Central informed officers a victim was at UNC Nash Hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower body.

Investigator T. Antunez obtained warrants on Hawkins and Pittman.
