The choir performs on the steps of the school.

The third Christmas at the Castle held at Roanoke Rapids High School Friday included the debut of more than 200 bricks that were laid on the sidewalk that fronts the school.

Phil Hux, president of the RRHS Alumni and Friends Association, said at least 20 bricks were sold Friday night.

Before the lights in the front windows of the school were turned on, the audience heard performances by the RRHS Choir Carolers and the RRHS band.

Hux also told the audience there are more than 300 RRHS yearbooks available for sale, some as old as 70 years. The association will keep one from each year.
