A Jackson woman was charged today for a Christmas Day stabbing that left her boyfriend injured.
Major Anzell Harris of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said 43-year-old Vesquawn Hill was arrested at her residence and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
He said an argument between the two led to the stabbing.

She remains in the Halifax County Detention Center without the opportunity for bond. The case was not immediately filed in the eCourts system as of this report.
Harris said deputies were dispatched to Pine Ridge Apartments on Pecan Drive in response to a stabbing call. They found the victim with an inner thigh wound and rendered aid. The victim has since been released from medical care.
Based on evidence collected and information provided during the investigation, Detective Sergeant I. Miller obtained a warrant for Hill’s arrest. She has a January 13 district court date. Detective Lieutenant R. Smith assisted.
