Two people from Connecticut died this morning in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 95.

Trooper M.J. Kerrigan of the state Highway Patrol said a 2003 Mercury sport utility vehicle was traveling north on the interstate shortly after 7 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the road to the left in the northbound lane.

The vehicle went back on the roadway and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle flipped multiple times going into the median where it stopped in the southbound lane a tenth of a mile north of Rural Paved Road 1211 near Enfield.

The driver, Nicole Fagan, 36, and a passenger, Marvin Perkins, 36, died. Two other passengers sustained injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
