Weldon police continue to investigate the February 20 armed robbery of the Blue Flame.

“We are still following up on leads,” Lieutenant James Avens said today.

The robbery occurred shortly before midnight when a person described as a black male wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun entered the store.

The man demanded money from the clerk while two customers were inside. No one was hurt.

The man left with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen on foot headed to  First Street. He was further described as standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall.
