A Pleasant Hill man has been arrested after a child sex assault report was filed with the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office.
On Tuesday, Northampton County Sheriff’s Chief Detective Captain D.M. Harmon arrested Jeremy Broady, 25, of Mountain Way in Pleasant Hill.
Broady is charged with two counts of second degree kidnapping, two counts of statutory rape and two counts of indecent liberties with child.
Harmon said the charges stem from a child sexual assault report received by the NCSO last month.
“It was reported that on two occasions early in the morning Jeremy Broady picked up victim near her residence and took her to his home and engaged in sexual activity with her,” said Harmon. “It was also reported that victim met the accused through MySpace (a social networking Internet site) months ago.”
Broady was taken to the Northampton County Jail and placed there on a $150,000 secured bond. His first appearance in court is scheduled for Thursday.
