A routine search of lockers and vehicles at Roanoke Rapids High School did not yield any arrests today, police Chief Jeff Hinton said.
The police department, with assistance from Weldon, did a canine search of the school. Students were kept in their classrooms for about 45 minutes to an hour. “They didn’t miss changing classes. We’re trying to help have drug free schools and a continued partnership with the school system.”
