A 20-year-old Roanoke Rapids man was jailed this morning following a break-in at the downtown Village Grocery.
Deputy Chief Adam Bondarek said Carol Beckelman III faces charges of breaking and entering, damage to property, possession of stolen property and larceny.
Beckelman allegedly entered the business and stole items early this morning. Officer Chris Woodruff and his dog Zeusa located the man nearby.
He was jailed on $30,000 bond.
