Roanoke Rapids police are looking for a man who in August allegedly kidnapped and raped a juvenile girl.

William Thomas Crowder weighs 210 pounds and has gray hair. He sometimes sports a gray beard, according to Captain Andy Jackson. He was last known to be homeless. He is often seen with a backpack, riding a bike and wearing military fatigues.

Jackson said the rape is believed to have occurred on August 30. He declined to give the location. The man allegedly forced himself on the girl and faces charges of first degree rape and kidnapping.
