The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office today released security camera images from a May 31 robbery in which a clerk was stabbed.

At the time Sheriff Wes Tripp said the Information Grocery clerk did fire shots at the suspect but it was not immediately clear whether the suspect was struck from the gunfire.

The robbery occurred between 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the store, which is located at the intersection of Thelma Road and Highway 158.

Items of value were taken in the robbery.

The suspect fled the store on Thelma Road and was last seen headed towards Roanoke Rapids.

The clerk was OK.
