No one was injured following a shooting that occurred on Bullington Road Wednesday night but an above ground swimming pool was damaged.

Lieutenant Bobby Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting occurred around 8:45 in Roanoke Rapids. Two rounds struck the pool and caused water to leak.

There was no vehicle or suspect description but the sheriff’s office is asking people who may have noticed a car speeding away from the area to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 or the sheriff’s office at 252-583-8051.
