A Roanoke Rapids woman faces several charges of identity card theft after entering two people’s houses under the premise of using the bathroom and stealing their belongings.
Tina Hilliard, 41, of Sunset Crest Lane, faces four counts of identity card theft, two counts of larceny, one count of possession of stolen goods and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her arrest resulted from two calls, Captain Andy Jackson of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said this morning.
Jackson received a call shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday saying an 83-year-old man reported his debit card, money clip and $40 in cash were stolen.
A woman, who the man knew and was later identified as Hilliard, stopped by and asked to use the bathroom. When she left the man noticed his belongings were missing.
As Jackson attempted to locate her, Officer Mike Moseley received a call to go to 224 Julian R. Allsbrook Highway and was flagged down.
There a 55-year-old woman told her a woman, Hilliard, stopped at her house after her car ran out of gas and asked to use the restroom. Hilliard also asked for a glass of water and when she left, the victim noticed her pocketbook and wallet was missing.
Hilliard was outside at the car when Moseley arrived and surrendered a crack pipe to him when he said he had to request a female officer to search her.
Moseley discovered the wallet in Hilliard’s car.
She was jailed on a $15,000 secured bond.
