A fight at the Halifax County Jail Thursday left an inmate with a broken jaw, according to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office.
Detective Roy Rooks said Rashard Battle, 24, was charged with assault inflicting serious injury after he and another inmate got in a fight.
Battle, of Enfield, received a $5,000 bond for the charge and has a July 20 court date.
