All three incumbents on the Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District Board of Directors have filed for re-election.
Gene St. Clair and Steven M. Holliday filed Wednesday while Gregory Browning filed Monday.
Also Wednesday incumbent Halifax town Commissioner Lisa M. Turner filed while on Tuesday incumbent Roanoke Rapids Board of Education member Tammy Colston filed.
In the race for Scotland Neck town board of commissioners incumbents Charles Shields and Raymond Watson filed Wednesday. Challenger Raymond Hyman filed Monday as did incumbent Mayor Eddie Braxton.
On Monday incumbent Roanoke Rapids District 3 Councilman Carl Ferebee filed as did his challenger, Terry Buffaloe.
Ernest Bobbitt filed Monday to retain his Roanoke Rapids District 1 council seat while newcomer Sandra Bryant filed to run for the seat held by the late Carol Cowen in District 2.
The municipal election is set for November 5.
The filing period for municipal elections ends July 19 at noon.
