The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Captain A.M. Harris:
On Tuesday Agent R. Ball stopped a vehicle on Highway 48 near B&B Drive for a violation.
The driver was identified as Jack Eldridge Bryant III, 34, and possessed crack cocaine in plain view.
Bryant was arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance and driving while license revoked.
Bryant received a $5,000 bond with an August 21 court date.
On Wednesday Ball stopped a vehicle for a seatbelt violation on Bryant Street in Enfield.
Ball could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
During the search marijuana was seized.
The driver was identified as Kenneth Marrow, 34, of Enfield. He was cited with a North Carolina Uniform Citation for possessing marijuana up to one-half ounce.
Marrow received a September 9 court date.
On Wednesday agents conducted a traffic checking station on Highway 125 near the town limits of Hobgood.
Ball cited Quentin Hughes, 26, of Weldon, with a North Carolina Uniform Citation for possession of marijuana up to one-half ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Hughes received a September 9 court date.
