Vidant Health and Halifax Regional Medical Center have signed a non-binding letter of intent.

The LOI, Halifax Regional said in a statement today, allows both organizations to proceed with discovery and formal discussions about the possibility of Halifax Regional integrating with Vidant Health.

“Both Vidant Health and Halifax Regional recognize the importance and benefit of partnership, which allows for the sharing of resources, knowledge and experience,” the statement said. “We look forward to working together in the coming months to discover how these two healthcare organizations can provide a better, more integrated system-of-care for the communities we serve.”
